Pet Behavior Counseling

We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, digging, house soiling, and aggression. We also offer dog training classes here at CLVH, as in many cases, these unwanted behaviors can be addressed with structured training procedures. In extreme cases, our Vet may refer your pet to a behavioral specialist.

Behavioral specialists focus on the diagnosis and treatment of:

  • Aggression / Anxiety Disorders
  • Elimination Disorders
  • Phobias
  • Stereotypic / Compulsive Behavior

Consultations include an evaluation of your pet’s history and a thorough examination. Bloodwork may be required in cases when medications are part of the treatment plan.

It is important to realize that addressing behavior disorders can be expensive, complex, and time-consuming, so a commitment to your pet is essential to increase the likelihood of success.
